Songs can range from light-hearted, to dark and gruesome, to more raunchy and then sweet, and everything in between.
VOCALOID SOFTWARE
Producers will use their musical skills to create a beat for a song, and then use the help of the VOCALOID software and the voice of a specific character (or, multiple characters) to come together and create songs. In short, VOCALOID is kinda like “virtual pop-stars.” They have their own concerts just like real artists (using holograms), the only difference being that they’re generated by a computer program. It uses synthesizing technology with specifically recorded vocals of voice actors or singers.” Straight from wikipedia, “VOCALOID is a singing voice synthesizer…The software enables users to synthesize “singing” by typing in lyrics and melody. The first Vocaloids were 'Leon' and 'Lola' created by Zero-G who sing in English. Each voice is provided by a 'seiyuu' or voice actor, and then named and given box art. Standing for 'Vocal Android' it is a computer program which you can use various singing voices to create songs.
VOCALOID SERIES
– The new product will be released as a new series along with the next generation Piapro Studio in 1H 2020. – Patches/updates to the voicebanks themselves will now be possible. These include Cherry Pie, HS Booster, Vocal Drive and more.

– 11 new effector VSTs will be included in the new product. – The new product is currently not named. – This new product is aimed to be compatible with existing tools.

– The ‘identity’ of the voices are planned to remain the same with the new engine. – This new engine has been in development for 2 years. – A new engine/product for the characters was developed using in-house algorithms by Crypton Future Media. – There will be no updates utilizing Yamaha’s VOCALOID 5 engine. – Hatsune Miku’s voicebank, along with Crypton’s other character voicebanks, will become less tied to Yamaha’s VOCALOID engine. So here’s a rundown of what the known changes are, and what they will mean for Vocaloid fans as consumers, and Vocaloid music creators. This is arguably the biggest change to happen to Hatsune Miku’s software since her initial release in 2007, so there’s understandably quite a few fans that might be confused as to what this means, and might even be worried.
